Friends,
We enter into Holy Week, please consider joining us for the Holy Week Liturgies. The Greatest Story ever told, the one of our Redemption in Christ, is presented to us in three distinct liturgies:
1. Mass of the Lord’s Supper on Thursday, 7pm
2. Celebration of the Lord’s Passion on Friday, 7pm
3. Mass of the Easter Vigil, Saturday, 8pm (satisfies Sunday Obligation)
4. Easter Sunday: 7:30, 9 and 11am
You’ve also got a few more days to participate in our Almsgiving Projects: the Farm of the Child orphanages in Honduras and the Deacon Diaper Drive.
This year, MQP will welcome 8 new members into the Body of Christ, the Roman Catholic Church. Since before Labor Day these members of our community have been learning and growing in and with Christ Jesus and the Church He founded and handed onto us. We will welcome Bill Knutson, Chloe Wright, Evan & Rachel Sullivan, Matt Koch, Rachel Rootz, Robyn Krueger and Rebecca Conant. The Church at MQP is vibrant and producing Fruit in the name of Christ Jesus.
Our celebration of Holy Week resounds with these words from Jesus, which we will hear and enter into during the Sacred Triduum:
-Holy Thursday: ‘Do for others as I have done for you.’
-Good Friday: ‘Behold the wood of the Cross on which has hung the Salvation of the World.’
-Holy Saturday: ‘He is not here. He has been raised.’
-Easter Sunday: “Alleluia! Love is Alive!’
These words are worth remembering and having tattooed! These words constitute the Cornerstone of our Faith in Christ Jesus and the Hope that keeps the human heart, and the whole world, from descending into despair and darkness. Come, friends, and bask in these Words and receive the Incarnate Word, Jesus our Lord.
Know that you are loved dearly and prayed for daily.
